About the Enigma that is Dillon Brown

I(better known as Dillon the Great) was born in West Plains Missouri in the legendary year 1991 on the 25th of March. I am a political science major and a card carrying Democrat. I love films, books and Televisions Shows. Some favorite films include 12 Angry Men, To Kill a Mockingbird and Charlie Wilson's War. As for some awesome television shows I dig are Fringe, Game of Thrones and Sons of Anarchy. As for books some my favorites are Game of Thrones, The Great Gatsby and Night. I look forward to dazzling everyone with knowledge, spectacle and wonderment.

Public Speaking

Public speaking is the act of address it is usually in a structured environment with an appropriate occasion. Public speaking is intended to inform, persuade, or entertain the listeners. A great example of a persuasive speech is anyone of Barack Obama's campaign speeches made in 2008 and this year. A fantastic example of an informative is a lecture given by a professor or a teacher in any class room. A prime example of an entertaining public speech is a stand up comedian's routine such as Louis C.K. and Lewis Black.

Ethical Communication

Ethical Communication is communicating simply honesty, thoughtfulness and respect. An example of honesty is telling the truth when a mistake is made in the and the person who makes the mistake steps up and takes responsibility for their mistakes. Another aspect of ethical communication is thoughtfulness. Think about who you are addressing and respond appropriately for example if you are speaking to some from Ireland you don't want to call them British. Respect is merely using the proper names and titles for someone like if you were addressing the queen of England you would use the phase your "majesty."

Mass Communication

Mass communication is the how we relay information to large segments of the population. The best example of this it the news both the news. The news gives everyone information that is relevant to their community and also news from around the world. Another form of mass communication is movies. Movies can relay moral message and to a degree set a moral standard. For example the movie 12 angry men emphasis the patriotic responsibility of sitting. Television shows also effect the the opinion of the public. The television show Eureka emphasis the importance scientific research and practices.

Communication

Communication, what does that word actually mean? It means to communicate an idea from one person to another. Communication can be verbal or non verbal. Communication can be intentional or accidental. Communication can involve verbal language and body language. Their are also a great deal of other topics involved with the subject of communication such ethical communication, communication anxiety and mass communication.
